Transformation

Day 52 of 52 Days:  White Cosmic Worldbridger

If you’ve been following along, congratulations!  We’ve completed 52 day of journeying inward.  It is simultaneously the end of one cycle and the birth of a new one.

Step into the fire of transformation.  You are more than your body, your mind or your heart.  You are spirit in form in action.

Use your capacities of body, mind and heart to express the truth of who you are.  Who you ARE, not what your opinion or someone else’s opinion is of yourself, but who you really are.

I have a name, I have a job — neither of those is who I Am.  My name and my job (I’ve changed my name a couple of times, I’ve had different jobs) are merely place markers for our short stay on earth.   The “I am” never changes.  I am spirit.  I am love.  I am life.

Step into the blue of flame.  Let everything burn away that no longer serves your purpose for being on earth.  Step into your greatness.

Thanks for traveling with me.  Thanks to those of you who stopped by to read and comment.  Carry on.

Day 26 of 52 Days:  Yellow Cosmic Sun

To let the self be awakened by all things is enlightenment.  — Dogen, 13th century Zen Master

This is the last day of a 13-day cycle of “Elegance”.  Tomorrow, September 11, 2011, the ten-year anniversary of The Day That Changed the World, begins a new 13-day cycle of “Birth”.

Let Love Radiate.

Natural Time

In Nia, there are 13 Principles which can be easily applied to one’s daily living.  Principle #2 is Natural Time.  Today’s blog is Day 3 of 52 Days, but who’s counting?  It’s a Red Electric Earth Day.

In a Nia class, we invite students to move in their own Natural Time.  Everyone’s body is different.  Finding one’s own way of moving with the choreography of Nia allows one to master the various moves in Natural Time.  Speed is the illusion of mastery.

Natural Time is being receptive to your own personal sense of time.  From the moment we get up in the morning until we hit the bed to sleep, we are governed by the laws of man’s sense of time in this world.  Office jobs are 9 to 5.  Everybody hates Mondays.  Leap year happens once every 4 years.  Labor Day is the first Monday in September.  Thanksgiving is always on a Thursday.  Christmas (for those who celebrate it) is on December 25th.  There are 7 days in a week.  There are 12 months in the Gregorian calendar with varying amounts of days within those months.

Natural Time allows for an easier feel to all of that…

So today, release the notion of linear time.  If you wear a watch, see how long you can go before looking at it.  Enjoy being unencumbered by “time.”  Obviously we have to live in this world.  Doctor appointments, customer contacts, taxes have to be paid by a certain day of the month…we do have to live in this world…but we do not have to be “of” it.  Birth into being a new way, a different way of moving throughout your days.

Do you have an experience of moving in Natural Time?
